Makeup Artist and Hairstylist: Pre Wedding & Wedding Day - Manila

Pre Wedding Shoot - Marilen Jimenez (Makeup Artist) and Mj Somera (Hairstylist)

Truly lucky to have beautiful friends in the industry!

Marilen and I used to talk about makeup and her dream on being a makeup artist probably 4 years ago when we were still housemates in Singapore.

I immediately thought of her when I was trying to get makeup artists. And voilà! She made me look like a pretty doll on our pre wedding shoot!

She also gave me tips on what my hair colour should be (months before our pre wedding shoot); for the make up, I told her she can decide on it since I’m not used to getting a professional makeup and hairstyling done. (only a few times when I needed to be a bridesmaid, I get to experience how it’s like to have a professional makeup artist and hairstylist)

It's always best when you have a friend that would do your makeup. In addition, Marilen is easy to talk to, and her makeup on me didn’t feel heavy but on the photos and videos, still looked stunning. She even placed some shimmers on my body to make sure I’m glowing! And MJ placed on some hair extensions on me too!

We also engaged Marilen and her team for our wedding day. This time, for the makeup and hairstyling of the entourage.

She used waterproof foundation (just to be sure), so that it would still look beautiful after the emotional moments of the wedding!

She and her team executed very well that the #bridesquad looked so naturally beautiful.

Though we discussed what look I would prefer the ladies would have.

I did inform her on the colour of the gown the entourage will be wearing, what eyeshadow I prefer them to have, even the hairstyle (I told her in advance that I bought some rhinestone hairpins to be placed on their hair), so that she’s also prepared beforehand.

So, my sweet dear, thank you for being kind. Also, your skills and talent should be known worldwide! I looked like I’m the next Asia’s Next Top Model on my pre wedding shoot, one of the reasons is because of you- For Real. 😍😘
